Prom can be a stressful time, especially when looking for a date. Sam Steingard wasn’t able to find a date as Prom approached so what did he do? The 18 year old decided instead of going alone or refusing to go at all he would do what any rational and sound-minded person would do…he decided to take his cat, Ruby.
To be fair he didn’t actually take the cat to the dance but he did pose for some prom photos with her before going. Sam’s sister Caroline decided to share the pictures to the world by putting the happy couple up on Imgur. Well the rest is history, Sam and Ruby are now forever inked as internet superstars.
