Watermelons live in a variety of habitats, ranging from treetops to ponds, and are mostly defenseless to the big cats. But they do have one defense, which is their tough shell and unappetizing red insides.
Surprisingly, cats like the color red, as seen with house cats and their relationship with the red dot.
The white loin sneaks up on the unsuspecting prey, slowly coming towards its hard, grass-like exterior. The lion charges— and boom, with a gaping mouth, the lion snaps the melon in half.
