What does the American Dream mean to cats? They dream of not sharing the same food container, or dream of layers upon layers of platforms to stand or sit on. This cat owner has given them just that, and they look quite happy with their setup.
This cat owner is a Reddit user u/pinkeskimo, who posted on the r/Cats community a while ago about how they’ve spoiled their cats with the best life they could give them. To be fair to them, their living room is already quite good by human standards, so it’s not just the cats that they’re spoiling.
A commenter jokingly “corrected” the post, saying that that is just simply exactly how you treat creatures as majestic as cats. And they’re quite correct for it.
One commenter said that if they did the same thing to their cat, chances are they will wind up falling off onto the TV, injuring themself, and breaking the TV or other nearby objects. The owner responded that for that exact reason, much of the shelves have railings, as they tend to fall off.
The owner revealed in a different comment thread that he was the one to make the shelves. A perfect example of good usage of DIY skills.
