A paramedic told Reddit about how a kitten wandered into the garage bay of their hospital. It was looking for food. “I’m doing reports right before [the] shift ended,” said u/MAYlTO on their post. The cat apparently got spooked and hid under an ambulance. They clocked out and spent 2 hours getting her out. Ultimately, the paramedic brought her to their home.
People showered both the poster and the kitten with love in the comments section of the post, which at the time of writing had around 8.7k upvotes.
Several people suggested making the kitten an official pet of the station, or even part of the people doing rounds at an ambulance.
It seems like the poster does have a habit of taking home cats, as he jokingly said that it will be the last, but only for this year.
