Christmas, Christmas time is—not quite here yet, but this cat decided maybe their owner would want a live chipmunk inside their house.
This cat owner, Reddit user u/suzylee333, was met with a pleasant surprise when her cat dropped off a live chipmunk inside their house. Now, the chipmunk is inside the house somewhere, and she is working to find the said chipmunk.
There were many varying ideas sent by others as to how to track down the chipmunk. Care is especially important as these tiny mammals are prone to rabies, which may be bad news to the cat and their owner.
Others found the gesture cute and endearing. Some also noted how lucky the owner was that the chipmunk brought in was alive, as the house wouldn’t stink–for now. Regardless, it is great that the cat seems to carer so much for their owner that they are giving them gifts, even if the gifts aren’t something of use to a modern human. Though, to be fair, a few smiles here and there are necessary in this cruel modern society.
