This cat was sitting on the side of the road alone. The rescuers came to the area, and when the rescuers came closer, his sister ran away. However, this cat didn’t move. They found out that this cat is blind.
They heard a meowing from a distance, it was her sister. She was crying for help because they were starving. The poor sister has short legs, it is likely that this was due to malnutrition.
The old man in the neighborhood feeds the cats sometimes. These cats are sick, the poor brother is blind probably due to an infection and the poor sister is suffering from malnutrition.
Unfortunately, the rescuers didn’t bring any food with them. These kittens were fragile, weak, and sick, they wouldn’t survive too long out there. They had to do something. They left to get their pet carrier and get some food. Happy to say, the cats were still in the area when they came back.
They brought them home, and they also decided to name them Charlie and Amelia.
Food was given to the kittens, Charlie did not hesitate to try the food out. However, Amelia wasn’t in the mood and didn’t leave the pet carrier. We think that she got used to the cruel life on the streets, that’s why she didn’t expect any improvements to happen.
They had to give her some space to let her know that they meant no harm. The cat was focusing on where to hide but she was really hungry so she was not able to resist.
They found out that both of them have a viral disease Feline Calicivirus, they’ll be isolated from the other kittens until they’re cured. They’re now safe, they just need to get well, which I know is very possible.
