A three-day-old kitten was found on the sidewalk with its umbilical cord still attached, presumably abandoned by its mother, or maybe the person who owned the mother.
When Reddit user u/humandebrisx59 found it, they gave it a warm dawn bath and brought out the heating pad to give the kitty some more warmth. Luckily, they also had formula and milk in their arsenal, so they had the kitty drink those.
They are now hoping that the kitty will survive this whole ordeal.
The new owner said that they scheduled a vet appointment tomorrow, where further assessments of the kitty’s situation could be made. It could also be an opportunity for the vet to give more advice to them on how to ensure that the kitty survives.
Situations like this are rather unique, but not too uncommon. The person who posted even said that this was not the first time, and there was even a case where the kitty did not survive.
