A Reddit user shared his experience of losing a cat for so long only for a cat shelter to find it very recently.
In his recent post to r/cats, u/mcclearymjr shared a picture of the said cat in the temporary cat bed provided by the shelter. This earned him a lot of upvotes and commendations. Several of the comments were quite interesting, including some users who told similar stories.
Another user, u/pursuitofhappy, shared a similar instance wherein his family took a vacation in the woods for a while, only to lose their cat. Three weeks later, the neighbor of the house called and said that they may have seen it, so their cousin flew back. The cat had been through several fights and lost some weight, but he survived for more than a decade since.
